Last night our new campaign for RadioShack, featuring Lance Armstrong launched on the season finale of 24. The spots were direced by Christopher Guest. No one uses their mobile phone more effectively than Lance. And now he’s going to make sure the rest of America does, too.
Ad Age Magazine’s “CMO Strategy” features our client and pal Lee Applbaum from RadioShack today. Lee cites that improvements in merchandising, store operations, and marketing (that’s our part) have played a heavy hand in bringing back consumers to the Shack. Read it here.
We were in Austin last month shooting this new spot for RadioShack, the first featuring the partnership between Lance Armstrong and The Shack.
Further validation that The Shack campaign has injected tremendous momentum into RadioShack the brand, the company and its business results.
This article points to the need to back up your marketing message of change with internal change — in this case, a revitalization of the sales force.
A year ago, when we launched “The Shack” we took it on the chin in quite a few blogs and assorted media outlets. Many were quick to point out that it wouldn’t work. Yesterday CNBC’s Fast Money called it “Cool” and “Shactacular” and spent a fair amount of time championing the campaign.
Especially if that eagle is named Freedom. Freedom (the eagle) talks about the freedom of no contract phones in one of our newest spots for RadioShack.
