BSSP CEO Greg Stern lead the 4As Management Practitioners Forum on the first day of the 4As Transformation Conference in New Orleans. This members only event kicked off the conference, with agency leaders sharing best practices and strategies for growth.

BSSP Escapes from Alcatraz. Again.

Once again, BSSP swam, rode and ran as part of the Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon. This year, we had 19 BSSPers in the race — 6 relay teams and one full racer. The athletes braved 52 degree water with 3 foot swells, an 18-mile bike course up and down the hills of San Francisco, and an 8-mile run, including the infamous Baker Beach sand ladder.

BSSP Wins 2 Creative Media Awards (“The Oscars of Media Awards”)

Once again, BSSP is honored for its media strategy and innovation, earning two honors in the 2012 Creative Media Awards. This year, we won the award for Branding in the Online Media category, for our work on the Wim Hof campaign for Columbia Sportswear’s Omni-Heat line. In the Performance Marketing category, we won the award for yes, Driving Sales, for our digital media work for Greyhound. As MediaPost puts it: “The Creative Media Awards is the only competition that honors creativity in the media industry, We value the idea that drove the campaign along with the execution of the idea. We believe that media–the process of buying, planning and strategy–is every bit as creative as depicting storyboards for a print or TV ad campaign.”

Please join us in congratulating Rob Wallace of Knoxville for being named the recipient of Columbia’s first annual Ski Bum Scholarship. Rob demonstrated the passion for skiing, the willingness to exploit his social network, and the chops to make a damn funny video. Thanks to all the participants and those who supported them.
